Catriona Donald (b1992, Scotland) is an artist and traditionally trained goldsmith currently living and working in Stockholm.

Her current artwork lies in the intersection of art ecology, gemology and craft where she explores the profound, interconnected relationship between the natural world, material, mineral and the body. Influenced by her career in the jewellery trade and her background in permaculture, she juxtaposes foraged, natural materials with recycled metal and precious gemstones to create wearable sculptures and installations. Through her practice and material exploration, she aims to question what is precious and what holds inherent value. Her craft symbolises a conscious choice - materiality that centers the symbiosis of the living world, ecosystems, and landscapes. Her work serves as an interrogation of humanity's damaging reliance on the delicate structures that nurture us and questions the role of the artist during climate collapse.
